“Healthy people don’t need a doctor – sick people do… I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices. For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know that they are sinners.” ~ Matthew 9:12 NLT
My morning read today. I have had a crazy roller coaster week with my health and a lot of uncertainties with my health. My calcium has tested repeatedly high. We should never have high calcium. The typical procedure is if it tests high, to retake the test. Mine was retaken and tested high again. There are only a few reasons to have high calcium and none of them are good! A few of the possibilities are parathyroid tumors or cancer. I am still waiting for more tests results and a referral to an endocrinologist specialist.
I was reminded this week that tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. We need to embrace each day as a priceless gift!
I have been on a crazy journey with many hardships throughout my life, but especially the past few months. Through all the fiery trials, I am realizing one theme and something I keep seeing in God’s Word… I need to let Him be my all! I realize that in my marriage, I was depending on my Husband to meet all my needs. Wow! What pressure that must have been for him right! I’ve also been putting my hope and trust in so many other factors, rather than relying on my awesome God.
What God is showing me is that He wants to be my all… not secondary to anyone but my first priority. He needs to be the CENTER of my life and who I run to for love, safety, support, strength, and hope. It so easy to rely on ourselves or others for these needs but truth is He is the only one who is qualified to put our trust in 100%. He will never leave or forsake us. Trusting!
